X-Men got a Hooker

uncanny x-men 408 stacy xSo many posts on the web coming down on Director Brett Ratner, I'm seeing this kind of thing everywhere:
I love comic book movies...a long time ago, I was a collector of various comic books, including a number of different X-Menmutant. A mutant hooker? Unbelievable. titles. There are a ton of different and very interesting mutants in the series...too many for Brett Ratner to have to make up his own

So many X-Men, so many comics and so many people thinking that Ratner, not the writers of the script, brought in this new Mutant. He didn't, dig out your local comic shop's issue of Uncanny X-Men #408. Right there on the cover is the Mutant in question, Stacy X. A mutant working as a prostitute on the side, using her ability to seduce men out of their money. Just like the tabloid media seduced you all into thinking Ratner just wants sex appeal in X-Men 3. All he'd have to do is bring Mystique back or introduce Emma Frost.

The writers, Zak Penn and Simon Kinberg put Stacy X in an earlier draft and when Ratner joined the team they showed him how it worked in the story, so Ratner whent to the Powers that Be and asked to have the character included. It wasn't like he whent to Marvel and said, "shure I'll work on X-Men 3, but I want a hooker."

  1. Dude..u could at least include a link to my site!! LOL Thanks for the correction, though. I stopped reading comics back in 97 or 98 so I wasn't aware of Stacy X. You've gotta admit that mutant prostitutes and a mutant "Bunny Ranch" is a little "unusual", even in the world of mutants.

  2. Sorry, didn't think you'd want to be identified. Now fixed.
